Martin the man for Kent
A 78-ball century by Martin van Jaarsveld helped Kent secure an 86-run win over fellow Group A strugglers Worcestershire at New Road.
The South African, standing in as captain in the absence of Robert Key, hit 124 to help the visitors make 291-7 in the Clydesdale Bank 40 clash.
England Under-19 international Daniel Bell-Drummond weighed in with a breezy 42 from 30 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes in the process, to help Kent get off to a fast start after choosing to bat first.
Van Jaarsveld put on 59 with Darren Stevens, who made 37, and then dominated a century stand with Sam Northeast (30), scoring 75 of the 107 the pair added for the fourth wicket.
