Some of our EVPs
I'll post some of our better EVPs here.
This one is probably our best EVP. It was caught on an investigation at the place that was featured on "Scariest Places On Earth".
In the clip, you can hear the owner of the property ask "What should we do with this place?", and then one of our group members repeats the question after he asks it. A few seconds after that, a really rough sounding voice responds with "Nothing!".
*Nobody* was speaking, clearing their throat, or moving around at this time. Other investigator's recordings of this moment have silence on them...this voice only showed up on one investigator's recorder.

The people from "Scariest Places On Earth" were really impressed with this clip and wanted to use it, but in order to do that, we would have had to sign away our rights to the clip. In essence, making it *their* property...we would no longer be able to use it or post it anywhere.
So, we pretty much decided "screw that".

Re: Some of our EVPs
Wow, that's a really clear clip. It's obvious that a man responds with, "Nothing." It sounds a little eerie. Thanks for sharing!
That's too bad that Scariest Places on Earth wanted you to sign away the rights to it. I would definitely keep it, like you decided! Jeez, forget that.

Re: Some of our EVPs
Yeah. Like I said, going out there to get interviewed for the show really opened my eyes as to how things like that work.
Glad you like the clip! It's one of our best. We seriously caught a TON of EVPs at that place, too.

Re: Some of our EVPs
You should share some more then sometime! I love EVPs and I love listening to any that people have captured. It's especially interesting if they respond to something the investigator said, like in yours for example. So where was your team for this investigation?
Re: Some of our EVPs
We were at a place called JFK Prep. It's a group of about 4 or 5 huge abandoned buildings and other things (a school, a dorm building, a church, a graveyard, etc).
It was originally a Seminary to train Salvatorian priests and monks, and then in the 70's and early 80's, it was a high school. It's abandoned now. The people who own it are trying to renovate it, but are running into a problem with money.
And ever since it was featured on "Scariest Places On Earth", the owner has had a serious problem with kids breaking in, which is unfortunate.
It was actually our second investigation ever, and I wish we investigated it knowing what we do now. We're *hopefully* going to get back in there this spring or summer for another investigation, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.
You can check out the place here:

You can click on the buildings at the bottom of the page for more pictures.
It's an amazing place. The dorms are, in my opinion, the most active area.
I hope we can go back.

Re: Some of our EVPs
Wow, that would be a lot of area to cover! lol Jeez! Why does it always seem like the new owners of older buildings want to renovate them, but then run into financial issues? I swear, that is always the case. And yes. Kids can cause a whole lot of vandalism. :/
Awesome! Let us know what happens when you return this summer.
Those buildings look like they would be amazing to investigate! They're so big. It almost even looks creepy too from the inside pictures of the different places, just because of how abandon it is.

Re: Some of our EVPs
The place is HUGE! It's too much for just one group...you almost need 2 or 3 groups out there together to do a good investigation. The times we investigated out there, I think we had 2 or 3 groups each time, with a few independent researchers along, too.
It's very creepy. I was sort of surprised by the lack of personal experiences we had when we were out there, to be honest. Caught a lot of EVPs, but that was pretty much it.

Re: Some of our EVPs
Yeah, I wouldn't think just one group could cover the whole entire place in one night! Not even TAPs with all their equipment could. That makes sense, to invite other teams.
Strange that you captured so many EVPs but didn't really experience anything. I must say, every time I've captured EVPs though, I myself have never experienced anything. I still have yet to even experience anything paranormal. The most I've ever experienced to date is capturing those EVPs I mentioned. So, I guess that just goes to show that not all the time are spirits willing to show themselves to us. Maybe they just want to talk or say something important and that's all.

Re: Some of our EVPs
We have a continuing investigation going on in Stoughton, Wisconsin, that is almost the *exact* opposite of JFK Prep.
It's an antique store. We've had some amazing personal experiences happen on investigations there, but we just can't get ANY good EVPs or other evidence. I am 100% convinced that the place is haunted, just based on what has all happened to our group and other groups there, but we can't get solid evidence.
When we did the investigation tour out at the Ohio State Penitentiary, I had two "firsts" out there. It was my first time seeing anything paranormal (the shadow person) and my first time being in a place that felt *really* uncomfortable and that I did NOT want to be in.
You'll experience this stuff, sooner or later.

Re: Some of our EVPs
Wow, that's backwards! Too bad you couldn't really get any evidence, but at least you had the alternative of experiencing a lot! I bet that was exciting. Ideally, as an investigator, you'll want to have experiences as well as evidence from a place. It always seems mixed up if you don't have them both!
Yep, I'm sure eventually I will. I feel pretty prepared for it now.

Wow, you aren't kidding when you say a "lot"!
I've never seen that site before!
Thank you, Scott! Very cool.

Woah that's awesome! Yeah, thanks Scott!
Hopefully, Tony and I can fix the EVPs on our site. I wonder why they just won't play?
