K2 Meters Empty K2 Meters

Post by HPI-Kurt Tue Aug 12, 2008 8:47 am

Just wondering...
Have any of you ever used a K2 meter on an investigation?
When I saw it being used on "Ghost Hunters", I sort of rolled my eyes at it and thought it was a stupid piece of equipment. But I actually got to use one on our investigation this past weekend, and I had some seriously amazing results with it that are making me change my opinion of it.
Just wondering if any of you have ever had any experiences with one. Smile

I know that some of us have been looking at them. It almost seems like an electronic ouija board. But I'm curious enough to get get one. What kind of results did you guys get?

Well, the one we were working with had different colored lights on it, and a penny had to be stuck into the trigger so that it was constantly running.
Our last investigation there, I caught several weird pieces of audio on the stairway to the basement. I caught what sounded like a woman breathing or whispering into the recorder, and everyone who investigates there feels very uneasy on that stairway.
We had the K2 out several times during the night, asking the spirits to make the lights change, but nothing would happen. Finally, I decided to take it to the stairs and see if it would do anything there.
After a few minutes, the lights jumped up. I had another investigator come over so that she could witness it, too. After another minute or two, the lights jumped up again. I asked if whatever was there could do that again, and right after asking, the lights jumped up again. After that, they continued to do that for a while before stopping and not starting up again.
We checked the stairway with an EMF meter, but it showed absolutely nothing.
I don't know if I would *swear* by a K2 meter, but it was definitely something interesting to try, and I would love to try using it again!

Yeah, for the price it would be foolish not to give on a shot. We've been looking at some tri-fields and our tech guy found a tri-field kit that can also show the direction of the signal. Kinda excited about that.

Wow...THAT would be a great feature on it! We sort of wondered if whatever it was wasn't walking up and down the stairway, and a directional function would have helped a lot with that.
Very cool!

OK so we just got our first KII meter. I was playing around with it and one thing that I did notice was that if you held it in your hand and tilted it slightly from one side to the other the reading would "jump" I would assume that the best results could be achieved by just placing it on a table. We'll be trying it out on an investigation this weekend.

Still not sure about these things - we ran our K-II on 4 investigations without ANY response or unexpected lights, then last weekend the things starts randomly going crazy on an investigation. (Just as we were about to sell it on ebay.) Razz
