President Stephen Veazey presented words of counsel to the church, which were accepted as scripture on March 30, 2007. This document, now officially Section 163[43] of the Doctrine and Covenants, further challenges the membership of the Community of Christ to engage in ministries that foster peace, and are specifically charged to “pursue peace” and to “strive to be faithful to Christ’s vision of the peaceable Kingdom of God on earth”.
