O_O Grr, homework
I never thought taking 3 classes could be more work than taking 4. I guess I got lucky in the past and had some laid back classes. This quarter though at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, I was only able to take 3 (due to scheduling issues), and man, are they a lot of work! I mean, sheesh. It's as if the teachers don't realize we have other classes too. Homework and projects and quizzes and reading and studying and all this extra stuff is already killing me and the quarter only started this week!
I'm just scared if this early on at being at the Art Institute is this busy, what is it going to be like when I progress into the more serious classes related to my major? I'm a video game art and design major, by the way.
Also, I only have school on Tuesdays and Thursdays this quarter, so thankfully I get some days off, which would be life savers to do some of this homework and get it done. However, I'm in the process of looking for a part-time job, so, ack! All that, on top of running a paranormal team and trying to stay organized with members and information and staying on top of everything - it's just a wee bit stressful, to say the least.
So, just bare with me, people! I'm trying! I prefer to devote most of my time and energy into this team, but, school and grades come first apparently, so I have to try and keep that in mind.
Ahh and what about my art too!?? I'm supposed to be an art major, but not drawing for a full semester might set me behind in classes yet to come. (All my classes this quarter are more gen-ed that art.)

Re: O_O Grr, homework
Where is everyone? Oh, I guess it's only 8:20...
I don't want to go to class! BLAH! I have a math test today... At least we get to leave early after the test, but still. I have another class at 11:00, so I'll probably have just enough time to drive home, sit down at the computer, and then leave again at 10:35 to make it to my stupid Color class. (Yes, we have a Color class, and yes, it is ridiculous. We paint and play with colors!! And the teacher actually grades really hard...)

Yeah, they should actually! I'd be very interested in that.
Re: O_O Grr, homework
I'm in the same .. uh, class as you I have every Friday off though, so 4 days a week isn't 'so' bad (until Sunday evening approaches.. ) and unlike some of the students, I am NOT giving up my weekends to do clinicals and will push to do them ON Mondays - so that will be a LONG day, but I'll survive.
How much longer do you have Jeanette?

Re: O_O Grr, homework
Lol don't you just love those!?? Yeah 4 days a week isn't as horrible as a full week.
I actually only have 2 days a week right now! All of my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday this quarter. But usually it doesn't work out like that. I actually don't like it I don't think. I'd rather go more than twice a week, since you're days are longer if you don't.
I have about 2 more years I think until I graduate. How about you?

Re: O_O Grr, homework
I will be done in October and then 'again' in January. I'm doing several things at once (on major overload, but worth it if I can be done sooner!) and then I will be opening my own practice.
1. sports therapist (specializing in injuries)
2. massage therapist
3. strength and conditioning trainer
I received my BSN in '92, but don't want to do that anymore.

Re: O_O Grr, homework
Oh, well Tony and I were eventually planning on moving someday out of this area. Probably out to the northwest coast.
Re: O_O Grr, homework
Well the best places to live (if you stay within your degree) would be Queen Anne or Ballard - they both support artists and there are tons of markets who love to show local talent, as well as having a booth at the Farmers Market.

Re: O_O Grr, homework
Okay cool! There's at least one major video game company out in Seattle too that I may want to work for (if they hire me, that is!). But that still seems so long from now. I guess it's really not though. I wish that day were here. I feel much too old to still not have graduated.
Re: O_O Grr, homework
um.. there's a little place called 'Microsoft' out there as well
and you are NEVER too old to be in school, I think I'll be in some form or another of school for the rest of my life.
