What are your favorite drinks?
Alcoholic or nonalcoholic -- What do your taste buds desire?
I myself am a coffee addict. I don't, however, like straight black coffee. Even creamer isn't good (especially since it's so bad for you). I like flavor in my coffee, like french vanilla or mocha.
I also drink a lot of water. Water is my default drink to go with meals, even while at a restaurant. I prefer flavored water most though. Water is good for the skin. I even once kind of experimented with that awhile back ago to see if that claim was true. This was back when I worked as a cashier in the lumber section of a hardware store (don't ask!). I bought a bottled water and after I finished it, I kept going over to the drinking fountain to refill it. I drank it nonstop throughout my whole shift and for the rest of the day. It was really hard, since I obviously wasn't that thirsty! But wow, it really did work wonders!! If you have a problems with acne, poors, blemishes, or just anything little thing on your face that you'd like cleared up - try drinking a lot of water! The results were practically instant!
Anyway... hehe As for alcoholic drinks... I am a fan of Tilt - the energy drink + alcohol. It has a really good flavor. But, then again, I also love energy drinks. (My favorite energy drinks are blue Lost and blue Monster.) Martinis are good also, when they're not mixed with cheap alcohol anyway. Any girly, fruity drink is good really for me. I can't really get into beer. Anything strong I just won't do. Shots are disgusting. The cool thing is, I've never even built up a tolerance in the slightest, so why do a shot when I can have the equivalent in a much less painful manor by drinking one of my girly drinks?? Lol Yeah... I'm probably one of the few people that is glad they don't have a tolerance. But then again, I don't drink often enough to really care. (I do experience nasty and painful hangovers though. >.<)

Wow! Quite a selection. I haven't even heard of any of them, minus the Corona. TsingTao is a cool name. I'd love to hear someone say that in a bar. Are those very common??
Do you like wheat beer? Like I said, I'm not huge into beer itself, but wheat beer is just awful, I think. I don't know how people can get into that. That's really not my thing. I was able to stand Blue Moon though, but that's only because of the orange.
Re: What are your favorite drinks?
I enjoy some wheat beer but all of them can be purchased at almost any grocery store.
Re: What are your favorite drinks?

Re: What are your favorite drinks?
I looooove tea. Lots of different kinds.
I drink lots of water.
As for alcoholic drinks, I prefer dark dark beers. The darker the better! I can do the mixed drink thing too, but I usually prefer beer.

Re: What are your favorite drinks?
Non-Alcoholic Drink: Coffee. Black. No anything in it. Just strong, strong coffee.
Soft Drink: Caffeine-Free Pepsi (I get all the caffeine I need from my morning coffee!)
Alcoholic Drink: Newcastle Beer. Yum! I drink very, very rarely, but when I do, this is what I like.
I drink a TON of water during the day at work. I love it.
I can't do energy drinks...they make me feel all woozy and agitated. On investigations, I guzzle black coffee by the truckload.

Woah, I don't know how you can do that. That's far too strong for me. I need lots of flavor in my coffee.HPI-Kurt wrote:Non-Alcoholic Drink: Coffee. Black. No anything in it. Just strong, strong coffee.

Coffee?? - Humm...Coffee makes me a mite nervous when I drank it...Uum Hmm. (Jeanette....did you watch Slingblade like I told you to?? You'll have to do that to understand this. )
Ice Tea, preferably China Mist w/just a tiny splash of fresh lemon....yumm.
Water's good too. Sometimes if you're REALLY thirsty & hot, ice water is about the only thing that will help.
Here's my 3d favorite that I don't even know what is. (Too old to remember) When I first started working for Entergy (then AP&L), I was just a lowly meter reader. I had some REALLY long walking routes in those West Rock (west Little Rock) subdivisions. The biggest were about 650 houses, around 8-12 miles walking up & down hills, taking a good 6-7 hours of actual work-time to complete. And that was if you were REALLY moving fast.
But down on the corner sat a Sno-Cone shack. They made some type of "drinkable" Sno-Cone & I can't remember what they called it, nor exactly how it was made.
Best that I can remember, they put the snow in, poured the flavoring on, then poke a hole down the middle. Into this hole went about 2 or 3 ounces of spring water. (This was a fancy neighbourhood....no tap water for them ) Then a lid went on & the whole mess was blended for about 20 seconds.
You wound up with a drinkable Sno-Cone that tasted REALLY good & would cool you down in just a couple minutes. It also costed about $5 a pop. (Fancy neighbourhood....remember??) But it was well worth it after walking hard all day long in 90 degree weather.
I've tried the above recipe several times since, but just can't get it quite right. I either wind up with flavored water that makes my teeth hurt....or ice so thick it won't go through the straw. Maybe I don't have the right kind of blender.
Alcohol....Uuh?? I'd rather defile my body in other ways, like eating rare steaks & greasy fries. But yeah, I spent 13 years in the military, so I USE to drink.....years ago.
Back then, it was Jose Cuervo, Mexican Tacate & Toohey's (Aussie beer)
P.S. I'm pretty sure that TsingTao junk is made from kerosene. It was one of my buddies favorites, but he was a really mean guy that could handle the horrible stuff.

Are you brave enough to try the REAL Tequila....which is Mescal?? Both come from the Agave plant, but Tequila comes from ONLY the Blue Agave & from very specific regions in Mexico. These combinations give Tequila a smoother flavor than Mescal.
However, Mescal has a much higher alcohol content...so high that it's sometimes hard to get down without numbing the taste buds first with a shot or two of wimpy Jose Cuervo. And then there's the problem of that hallucinagenic gusano worm in the bottom of bottles of Mescal...NEVER found in Tequila.
If you can survive a few ounces of Mescal & the worm both, you have something to brag about.
P.S. I did..........once..........but I couldn't remember anything for 3 or 4 days.
Re: What are your favorite drinks?
Gah. I got sick enough on plain old Jose Cuervo. It was one of the first times I had hard liquor, so I assumed I could drink it like beer.
I assumed wrong.
Now, if there is so much as a DROP of tequila in something, I can taste it.

LOL! Oh jeez, that's not a good idea. I'd probably be dead.
I don't mind some girly drinks made with tequila. When I was down in Tijuana for a family vacation 3 years ago when I was 18, I was of legal age there, and my family and I stepped into a little liquor shop. The owner there let me try a shot of tequila with salt on the rim. I actually didn't mind it, whatever kind it was.
Re: What are your favorite drinks?
You most likely were drinking a decent brand of tequila in Tijuana....something like Cuervo Gold. It's really a nice drink. Closer to the border....say Juarez....you have to specify something nice or you'll get some kind of nasty stuff from the bottom of the barrel, and most likely get charged the same high price.
Re: What are your favorite drinks?
Lol yeah, that sounds gross. I wonder if that was it? It was a neat experience, nonetheless.

ROFL yes I have! I went to Cabo San Lucas and was encouraged to 'do it' aboard a 'booze cruise' - yeah.. after a few more hours in the sun with more alcohol in me they got me to eat the worm. It's bitter and nasty (yes, I bit into it) ::shudder:: and thank god everything came up or it would have been a VERY bad vaca.

Yeah, it'll come back up if you aren't REALLY careful. It's one of those type things that you have to already be dinkr to durnk.
