Re: Cemetary investigation 2006
Very nice clip!
I thought it was originally saying "Run", but when I listen to it through headphones, I hear a "t" at the end, almost like it's saying "What?.

Nice EVP. I agree - that does sound like "What."
That misty smoke is interesting too. No one was smoking at the time, right?

Re: Cemetary investigation 2006
What were the conditions outside what time of year? It kinda looks like fog. Since it is not touching the ground it would make sense.

Re: Cemetary investigation 2006
Other than being cold, it wasn't foggy, about 30 degrees or so at the time, mid November, shortly after 10pm. I think someone was exhaling myself, but those nearby all said they did not ::shrug:: And we believe what we think is being said is: wel .. come.
The group I went with wanted to visit the cemetary because it is reputed to be the most haunted area in Wisconsin, and partially because a friend (and why I tagged along) of mines grandmother is buried there. It's just called 'Potters Field' and is a little cemetary on the west side of Browns Lake (on Browns Lake Rd).
Burlington is the home of ancient mound builders, and lies on the 'Rainbow Vortex'. The city was built on ancient burial mounds, and the bodies were never moved. Research shows that the downtown section of the city was built over no less than 27 effigy mounds. Human bones are reported to have been found while laying out, and excavating the area for building.
There are reports of ghostly phenomenon and portals or gateways to dimensional worlds, but there is an ancient tunnel system running under the surface of the town where strange creatures similar to the Bray Road Beast make their home, and some believe they run into a similar tunnel set that is found under Bong Rec Park - federal law makes it a NO NO to investigate the area.
These stories are similar to Rochester, just a 5 minute drive north - there are tunnels that were ordered sealed due to screams being heard and the forefathers of that town did not want anyone to wander into what they considered a portal to hell. Most of the entrances to these tunnels have been sealed off but common belief is there are other entrances yet to be discovered.
